Anderson staying at United

Since joining Manchester United in 2007 Anderson has failed to hold down a starting position in the team and of course this has led to speculation that he may leave United.

However Anderson himself has been quick to dismiss these rumors and has stated publicly that he has no plans to leave the club. After buying him from Porto for nearly £20 million, Sir Alex Ferguson’s young star had much weight on his shoulders to do well at the the team. He arrived at United along with Nani and initially enjoyed a greater number of appearances. However injuries and some iffy performances saw him left out of the starting eleven while his teammate Nani nailed down his position in the side as well as the Portuguese national team as recently commented about.

However this season Anderson who is now 24 has started to show signs of promise again and this has led to some restored faith from the United fans as well as Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United need a player like Anderson in Midfield this year after a string of easy goals have been conceded by the team.

Anderson just has to make sure he puts in the work to show that he is worthy of his position and show that his £20 million price tag was justified.
