Anderson Prepared for Challenge

Brazilian midfielder, Anderson, is aware just how important this season will be in his Manchester United career, after a tough 12 months.

The 24-year old has struggled with a series of injuries, since his arrival from Porto in 2007, and this season could have a big say in which direction Anderson’s Old Trafford career will go.

When fit, Anderson has been a key component in Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans, contributing to a number of positive football scores, and the Scottish manager has made no secret of how highly he rates the Brazilian.

This season will be a major test for the youngster to prove that he can get through a full league campaign without missing large chunks through injury. Anderson is fully confident of achieving his aim, now he is back fully fit.

After missing the majority of last season with knee and groin injuries, Anderson has returned to full fitness, and started his pre-season training ready to play a major role in the club reclaiming the Premier League title from Manchester City.

“I’m just focused on staying fit now, and doing my best to work hard and give 100 per cent for the team.

“This season it’s very important that I don’t have any more injuries. I need to prove what I can do. I know the boss and my team-mates believe in me, I’ve just had bad luck. I want to improve as much as I can and help the team win trophies.”

United fans will be desperate to see Anderson back pulling the strings in midfield, this season.

The Brazilian has all the qualities needed to be a truly world class midfielder, and playing a full season alongside someone like Paul Scholes will give Anderson the chance to learn from a true master of the art.

With Anderson and Scholes in the centre of the United midfield, Sir Alex will know that he stands a great chance of wrestling the Premier League crown from across the city.

The Citizens do remain the favourites for the title in the Premier League odds on Bet365, however.
