Reports Lend Weight to Anderson Trade

Manchester United midfielder, Anderson, has been linked with a return to his former club Porto, with the club rumoured to be interested in defender, Eliaquim Mangala.

United boss, David Moyes, has had to endure a difficult start to his career at Old Trafford, with the pressure on following the reign of Sir Alex Ferguson. The former Everton boss is being linked on football betting websites with a number of centre-backs, as he tries to sure up his defence after the Christmas period.

The Red Devils qualified for the Champions League knockout stages in midweek and they will need a number of additions if they are to improve both domestically and in Europe.

Reports in the live football commentary suggest that Moyes will try to tempt Porto to sell Mangala by offering Anderson as part of the deal, with the midfielder surplus to requirements in England.

Moyes may have competition for his signature with both Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly interested. Anderson may be tempted to return to Porto, after a previous successful spell.

The 25-year-old has been linked with loan moves to Fulham and Sevilla in recent weeks and the next few weeks could be pivotal if he wants to impress David Moyes for one final chance.
