Anderson has Summer Transfer Choices
Manchester United midfielder, Anderson, reportedly has a choice between two clubs this summer as his future at Old Trafford looks increasingly uncertain.
A return to Portugal is his preferred choice according to newspaper, A Bola, while the same source predicts he could be involved in a swap deal with Southampton.
Saints boss, Mauricio Pochettino, is thought to be a keen fan of Anderson and is ready to offer a straight swap with Manchester United for Jay Rodriguez, who has impressed immeasurably in the Southampton forward line this year with nine goals in 32 appearances this season.
Porto is the other choice and Anderson, who spent two years developing his young career at the Portuguese outfit, is likely to prefer this destination over England’s south coast.
However, should Pochettino keep Southampton up this season – as he looks increasingly likely to do so – there would be a regular place in the Premier League for Anderson come August. The Saints need a stronger midfield if they are to progress in the top flight and Anderson, often overshadowed at Old Trafford, could flourish at St Mary’s.
His value would also be felt at Porto, who are chasing their 27th Primeira Liga title and are four points off top place, Benfica. The Champions League beckons for Portugal’s titleholders and that carrot could be enough incentive for Anderson two swap leagues and earn passage into Europe.
Despite the transfer rumours, Premier League betting fans should be aware nothing yet is concrete and Anderson is not necessarily heading out of Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson is set to make a couple of squad changes this summer but he has a reliable midfielder in the Brazilian, meaning Anderson could go on to win plenty more trophies in a red shirt.
